Protection against flame and heat: The sweatshirt meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C2 F2 for protective clothing against heat and flame. Cantex Terry fabric provides inherent flame retardant properties that are an integral part of the fibres and do not depend on a surface treatment.
Electric arc protection: The product meets the requirements of EN 61482-2 at APC 1. In testing according to EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019, the fabric achieves excellent protection values of ELIM 8.6 cal/cm² and EBT 11.0 cal/cm². The sweatshirt forms part of protective clothing designed for work environments where exposure to the thermal hazards of electric arc may occur.
Antistatic properties: The sweatshirt meets the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 1149-3. The antistatic fibre helps limit the accumulation of electrostatic charges.
Fabric: 899: Cantex Terry – 60% modacrylic / 19% recycled cotton / 19% cotton / 2% antistatic fibre, 290 g/m². This is an inherently flame retardant sweatshirt fabric with a ring-spun reverse construction. The fabric is PFAS-free.
Permanent flame retardant protection: The flame retardant properties of the fabric are inherent, meaning they are an integral part of the fibres used. They are not achieved through a surface treatment and cannot be washed out during laundering.
Fabric performance: Cantex Terry achieves an LOI of 26.5%. The fabric has also been tested for electrostatic properties according to EN 1149-3.
UV protection: Cantex Terry fabric has been tested according to EN 13758-1 and achieves a protection level of UPF 50+.
