Applications
The HUBIX SH-360 is designed for professionals working in environments where there is a risk of exposure to electric arc thermal hazards, as well as selected heat and flame hazards. It provides an additional protective layer for the head and face during electrical power industry work.
Compatibility
Full 360° protection is provided only when the hood is used together with the following components:
SECRA H058E00 helmet,
SECRA H058E0 helmet,
SECRA H058E1 helmet,
SECRA H058E2 helmet,
ARC-E40HT integrated face shield.
Care and inspection
The hood must be visually inspected before each use to check its condition and ensure that it is correctly attached to the helmet. The product should be cleaned after every use. Light dirt can be removed using water and soap. For heavier soiling, washing at temperatures up to 60°C is permitted. After washing, the hood must be thoroughly dried; tumble drying is permitted at a maximum temperature of 40°C. The hood retains its properties for up to five washing cycles. After this limit has been reached, it must be withdrawn from service.
Periodic inspection should be carried out annually unless the instructions governing live-line work specify otherwise.
Standards and requirements
The product has been tested within the scope specified in its technical data sheet in accordance with the requirements of the following standards:
EN IEC 61482-1-1 – testing under open electric arc conditions.
EN 61482-1-2 – testing in a test box (Box Test).
EN 61482-2 – protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc.
EN IEC 62819 – eye, face and head protection against the effects of an electric arc.
EN ISO 11612 – protective clothing against heat and flame.
EN ISO 11611 – selected requirements for protective clothing used in welding and allied processes.
Important: The hood is not intended for use in welding processes. Full 360° protection is provided only when the product is used in the configuration specified by the manufacturer.
APPLICATION
The cover for ears and neck protection are used together with the SECRA helmets are designed to protect ears and neck against the thermal hazards of an electric arc.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Store and transport the cover in a manner that prevents damage. Keep cover away from heat sources. Protect against mechanical damage, against sunlight, moisture, exhaust gases, etc. Do not place cover directly next to room windows or car windows. Storage at (20 ± 15) °C is recommended. The cover should be cleaned after each use, which allows for thorough control and prevents irritation of the user's skin. Light soiling should only be cleaned with soap and water. Dry thoroughly after washing. If the cover is very dirty, it is recommended to wash it in water not exceeding 60 °C with the addition of soap. After washing, dry thoroughly in a dryer at a maximum temperature of 40 °C. Dry cleaning in gasoline thinner is allowed.
