Flame retardant boxer shorts TRANEMO 591192, designed as FR underwear and a protective base layer for demanding work environments. Made from soft and comfortable Cantex JL fabric with a weight of 200 g/m², providing inherent flame retardant properties and antistatic properties. The boxer shorts meet the requirements of EN ISO 14116 Index 3 and EN 1149-5. The fabric has been tested for protection against the thermal hazards of electric arc and achieves ELIM 4.3 cal/cm² and EBT 4.5 cal/cm². The model features a non-metal construction, elasticated waist, medium waist height and normal leg length. The fabric is PFAS-free and 50% of the cotton content is recycled cotton.

Protection against flame and heat: The fabric meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 F1 for protection against flame and heat. Cantex JL provides inherent flame retardant properties that are an integral part of the fibres and do not depend on a surface treatment.

Limited flame spread: The boxer shorts meet the requirements of EN ISO 14116 Index 3 for limited flame spread. This represents the highest index level within this standard for limited flame spread protection.

Protection against the thermal hazards of electric arc: Cantex JL fabric has been tested according to EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019 and achieves ELIM 4.3 cal/cm² and EBT 4.5 cal/cm². The boxer shorts can form part of a multi-layer protective clothing system used in environments where exposure to the thermal hazards of electric arc may occur.

Antistatic properties: The product meets the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 1149-3. The antistatic fibre helps limit the accumulation of electrostatic charges on the garment surface.

Fabric: 924: Cantex JL – 57% modacrylic / 19% recycled cotton / 18% cotton / 4% elastic fibre / 2% antistatic fibre, 200 g/m². This is a soft single jersey fabric with inherent flame retardant properties and elastic fibre for a comfortable fit. The fabric is PFAS-free.

Permanent flame retardant protection: The flame retardant properties of the fabric are inherent, meaning they are an integral part of the fibres used. They are not achieved through a surface treatment and cannot be washed out during laundering.

Recycled cotton: The fabric contains 19% recycled cotton, representing 50% of the total cotton content in the fabric.

PFAS-free: The product is made from PFAS-free fabric.

Wearer comfort: The soft 200 g/m² fabric is designed for comfortable use as a base layer. The elasticated waist and elastic fibre provide a comfortable fit and freedom of movement.

Applications: The boxer shorts are designed as FR underwear and a base layer under protective clothing. They are particularly suitable for the energy sector, electrical industry, industrial work, maintenance, service work, electrical installations and other environments where protection against flame, heat, the thermal hazards of electric arc and static electricity is required.

Certification: The product is CE marked in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 concerning personal protective equipment. It meets the requirements of EN ISO 14116 Index 3 and EN 1149-5. The fabric has been tested according to EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 F1, EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019 and EN 1149-3. The product is also OEKO-TEX certified.

Care: Wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Do not bleach. Tumble dry at low temperature. Iron at a maximum temperature of 150°C. Do not dry clean.
