Flame retardant long johns designed to be worn as a base layer underneath protective workwear. Made from soft Merino RX fabric with a weight of 200 g/m², consisting of 60% wool, 38% flame retardant viscose and 2% antistatic fibre. The fabric provides permanent inherent flame retardant and antistatic properties that cannot be washed out. The long johns provide comfortable wear directly against the skin and can be used as part of a multi-layer protective system against flame, heat and the thermal hazards of an electric arc. The garment is made from PFAS-free fabric.

The long johns are available in the following sizes:

Protection: The long johns meet the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 F1 for protection against heat and flame and EN 61482-2, APC 1, for protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. The garment also meets the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties.
Electric arc protection: Merino RX fabric achieves ELIM 5.3 cal/cm² and EBT 7.5 cal/cm² according to EN IEC 61482-1-1. The long johns meet the requirements of APC 1 according to EN 61482-1-2.
Fabric: Merino RX – 60% wool / 38% viscose / 2% antistatic fibre, 200 g/m². The fabric is made from soft merino wool and flame retardant viscose. It provides inherent flame retardant properties and is PFAS-free.
Base layer: The long johns are designed to be worn as the first layer of protective clothing. When protection against electric arc hazards is required, they should be used as part of a properly selected Tranemo Skinsafe multi-layer protective system.
Care: The long johns can be washed at temperatures up to 60°C. Do not bleach. Tumble dry at low temperature. Iron at temperatures up to 110°C. Do not dry clean.
