The complete face shield is a replaceable component of SECRA-2 helmets.
It consists of a clear polycarbonate visor, polyacetal rods with their mounting (polyamide), a polyacetal latch, and the lower face shield section and chin guard (polyamide).
The face shield visor has a scratch-resistant outer coating and an inner anti-fog coating.
The ARC-E40HT face shield is designed to protect the user against:
- electric arc (Class 2 – Box Test, meaning a high level of protection against thermal energy),
- high-speed impacts,
- liquid drops and splashes,
- molten metal and hot material fragments,
- UV radiation (thanks to the filters).
- Key Point: This shield provides full protection only when used with a suitable SECRA helmet. The shield alone does not provide complete protection.
