Inherently flame retardant trousers with increased visibility, made from a combination of Cantex Weld at the front and flexible Cantex Stretch at the back. The fabrics provide permanent inherent flame retardant and antistatic properties. Cantex Weld provides a very high level of protection against molten metal splashes, making the trousers suitable for welding and grinding work. Cantex Stretch at the back increases flexibility, freedom of movement and wearer comfort. The garment is PFAS-free.

Increased visibility: Fluorescent variants of the fabrics used meet the requirements of EN ISO 20471 for materials used in high visibility clothing. The fluorescent fabric increases wearer visibility in the workplace.
Protection against heat and flame: The trousers meet the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 E3 F1 for protection against flame and heat. Cantex Weld also provides a very high level of protection against molten iron.
Electric arc protection: The trousers meet the requirements of EN 61482-2, APC 1. They achieve an electric arc protection level of ELIM 18.0 cal/cm² and ATPV 20.0 cal/cm² against the thermal hazards of an electric arc.
Welding protection: The trousers meet the requirements of EN ISO 11611 Class 2 A1+A2 for protective clothing used during welding and allied processes. Cantex Weld is designed to provide protection against splashes generated during welding and grinding.
Chemical protection: The trousers meet the requirements of EN 13034 Type PB[6] for limited protection against liquid chemicals. To maintain the chemical protection properties, the garment must be re-impregnated after washing.
Antistatic properties: The trousers meet the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties and are suitable for use in environments where protection against the accumulation of electrostatic charges is required.
UV protection: The trousers meet the requirements of EN 13758-2 for clothing providing protection against UV radiation. The fabrics provide a protection level of UPF 50+.
Fabrics: Cantex Weld – 50% modacrylic / 36% cotton / 12% polyamide / 2% antistatic fibre, 365 g/m². Cantex Stretch – 48% modacrylic / 35% cotton / 12% polyamide / 3% elastic fibre / 2% antistatic fibre, 365 g/m². Both fabrics provide inherent flame retardant properties and are PFAS-free. The rear reinforcement is made from Barricader EP fabric with a weight of 545 g/m².
Comfort and freedom of movement: The use of flexible Cantex Stretch fabric at the back increases comfort and freedom of movement during work. The combination of two fabrics provides a high level of protection while maintaining excellent wearer comfort.
Industrial laundering: The trousers are suitable for industrial laundering according to EN ISO 15797 and have been tested for up to 50 wash cycles.
Tranemo Skinsafe: The trousers can be used as part of a properly selected Tranemo Skinsafe multi-layer protective system against flame, heat and the thermal hazards of an electric arc.
Care: Wash at temperatures up to 60°C. Do not bleach. Tumble dry at low temperature. Iron at temperatures up to 150°C. Do not dry clean.
