Protection against flame and heat: The trousers meet the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 E1 F1 for protective clothing against heat and flame. Tera TX fabric provides inherent flame retardant properties that are an integral part of the fibres and do not depend on a surface treatment.
Electric arc protection: The product meets the requirements of EN 61482-2 at APC 1. In testing according to EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019, the fabric achieves ELIM 8.1 cal/cm² and EBT 8.7 cal/cm². The trousers form part of protective clothing designed for work environments where exposure to the thermal hazards of electric arc may occur.
Antistatic properties: The product meets the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 1149-3. The antistatic fibre helps limit the accumulation of electrostatic charges.
Welding protection: The fabric meets the requirements of EN ISO 11611 Class 1 A1+A2 for protective clothing used during welding and allied processes. If the garment is mainly intended for welding processes, Tranemo recommends consulting the manufacturer regarding its use.
Chemical protection: The trousers meet the requirements of EN 13034 Type PB[6] for protection against limited amounts of liquid chemicals. To maintain chemical protection properties, the protective clothing must be re-impregnated after washing.
Fabric: 811: Tera TX – 45% modacrylic / 35% cotton / 18% polyamide / 2% antistatic fibre, 260 g/m². This is an inherently flame retardant fabric with a pleasant feel. Extra reinforced yarn provides good tear resistance despite the relatively low fabric weight. The fabric has a PFAS-free finish.
Permanent flame retardant protection: The flame retardant properties of the fabric are inherent, meaning they are an integral part of the fibres used. They are not achieved through a surface treatment and cannot be washed out during laundering.
Tear resistance: Tera TX uses extra reinforced yarn to provide good tear resistance while maintaining a relatively low fabric weight of 260 g/m².
UV protection: Tera TX fabric achieves UPF 50+ according to EN 13758-1.
Fabric performance: Tera TX achieves an LOI of 29.8%. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 1149-3, EN 13034 and, for fluorescent colours, according to EN ISO 20471.
PFAS-free: The product is made from a new generation of PFAS-free fabric. Tranemo states that during the transition period, mixed stock may occur, with some products originating from earlier production.
Tranemo Skinsafe™: The trousers are part of the Tranemo Skinsafe™ multi-layer system designed to protect against injuries caused by flame, heat and electric arc.
Industrial laundering: The product meets the requirements of EN ISO 15797 for industrial laundering and finishing procedures. The trousers are suitable for 50 industrial wash cycles.
Applications: The trousers are designed for electricians, electrical technicians, energy workers, maintenance personnel, service technicians, welders and industrial workers. They are particularly suitable for environments where simultaneous protection against flame, heat, electric arc, static electricity and limited contact with liquid chemicals is required.
Certification: The product is CE marked in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 concerning personal protective equipment. It meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 E1 F1, EN 61482-2 APC 1, EN 1149-5, EN ISO 11611 Class 1 A1+A2, EN 13034 Type PB[6] and EN ISO 15797. The fabric has also been tested according to EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019, NFPA 70E, ASTM F1506, EN 1149-3 and EN 13758-1 UPF 50+.
Care: Wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Do not bleach. Tumble dry at low temperature. Iron at a maximum temperature of 150°C. Do not dry clean.
