Protective softshell for demanding conditions: The 514595 jacket is designed as an outer protective layer combining thermal protection with protection against the weather. Windtech FR 340 softshell fabric is wind and water resistant, making the jacket suitable for outdoor work and changing weather conditions. The softshell construction also provides a high level of wearer comfort.
Electric arc protection: One of the key features of model 514595 is its very high level of protection against the thermal hazards of electric arc. The jacket meets the requirements of EN 61482-2 at APC 2. Testing according to EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019 achieves an ELIM of 23.0 cal/cm² and an EBT of 28.0 cal/cm². The model is therefore designed for working environments where there is an increased risk of thermal hazards from electric arc.
Protection against flame and heat: The jacket meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1 B1 C2 F1 for protective clothing against heat and flame. The softshell provides inherent flame retardant properties resulting from the characteristics of the fibres used and forming an integral part of the fabric.
Welding protection: The jacket meets the requirements of EN ISO 11611 Class 2 A1 for protective clothing used during welding and allied processes. It can therefore be used as part of protective clothing systems in environments where welding-related hazards are present.
Chemical protection: The model meets the requirements of EN 13034 Type PB[6] for limited protection against liquid chemicals. To maintain the chemical protection properties, the manufacturer requires the garment to be re-impregnated after washing.
Enhanced visibility: The jacket meets the requirements of EN ISO 20471. The model is certified to Class 3, while Class 2 applies to sizes XS–S. The manufacturer also specifies that the jacket can achieve Class 3 as part of combined certification when worn together with trousers or bib ‘n’ brace certified according to EN ISO 20471 Class 1 or Class 2.
Weather protection: Windtech FR 340 softshell provides protection against wind and water. The fabric achieves a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm and a manufacturer-specified breathability of 22.0 Pa m²/W, combining weather protection with comfort during active work.
Functional construction: The jacket features an ergonomically shaped construction designed to facilitate work with raised arms. It has a concealed front zip and double storm flap with press studs. Two loops are provided for communication equipment. The jacket also features a left chest pocket with flap, a right chest pocket with zip and microphone opening, zipped side pockets, and a sleeve pocket with flap, concealed D-ring and strap for an ID pocket.
Comfort during work: The ergonomic fit is designed for work requiring frequent arm movement and raised-arm positions. Knitted inner cuffs improve sleeve fit, while the drawcord at the bottom of the jacket allows the wearer to adjust the fit and helps limit cold air entering the garment.
Reflective details: The jacket features heat-sealed reflective stripes, providing enhanced comfort compared with conventional solutions while supporting the visibility requirements of the garment.
Main fabric: 950: Windtech FR 340 – 53% modacrylic / 40% cotton / 5% polyamide / 1% elastic fibre / 1% antistatic fibre, 360 g/m². The fabric is PU-laminated and provides inherent flame retardant properties. It is wind and water resistant and features a PFAS-free finish.
Reinforcement fabric: 804: HTFR Dobby – 39% modacrylic / 28% polyamide / 17% cotton / 15% aramid / 1% antistatic fibre, 295 g/m². An inherently flame retardant reinforcement fabric used in areas exposed to increased wear.
Permanent flame retardant protection: The materials used provide inherent flame retardant properties, meaning that the protection is an integral characteristic of the fibres used. The flame protection is not achieved solely through a surface treatment.
PFAS-free: The fabric features a PFAS-free finish. The product also carries OEKO-TEX certification.
TRANEMO SKINSAFE: Model 514595 is part of the TRANEMO SKINSAFE system, a multi-layer solution developed to provide protection against flame, heat and injuries caused by electric arc.
Applications: TRANEMO 514595 is designed for electricians, electrical technicians, energy workers, industrial workers, service technicians, welders, installers and other professionals working in demanding environments. It is particularly suitable where a combination of high electric arc protection, flame retardant properties, weather protection and enhanced visibility is required.
Certification: The product is CE marked in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 concerning personal protective equipment. It meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1 B1 C2 F1, EN 61482-2 APC 2, EN 1149-5, EN ISO 11611 Class 2 A1, EN 13034 Type PB[6] and EN ISO 20471. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 61482-1-2:2014, EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019 and EN 1149-3.
Sizes: XS–4XL.
Care: Wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Do not bleach. Tumble dry at low temperature. Iron at a maximum temperature of 150°C. Do not dry clean. To maintain the chemical protection according to EN 13034, the garment must be re-impregnated after washing in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
