Comfortable polo construction: Model 594589 is designed as a long-sleeve polo shirt, making it a comfortable alternative to traditional protective shirts. Knitted cuffs improve sleeve fit, while the chest pocket provides convenient storage for small items. The non-metal construction makes the shirt well suited to protective clothing systems intended for electrically hazardous working environments.
Protection against flame and heat: The shirt meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 F1 for protective clothing against heat and flame. The fabric provides inherent flame retardant properties, meaning that the protection is an integral characteristic of the fibres used. The flame protection is not achieved solely through a surface treatment.
Electric arc protection: The product meets the requirements of EN 61482-2 at APC 1. Testing according to EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019 achieves an ELIM of 4.8 cal/cm² and an EBT of 5.4 cal/cm². The shirt can form part of a protective clothing system designed for work environments where exposure to the thermal hazards of electric arc may occur.
Antistatic properties: The model meets the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 1149-3. The antistatic fibre helps reduce the accumulation of electrostatic charges on the garment.
Cantex Pique fabric: 897: Cantex Pique – 60% modacrylic / 19% recycled cotton / 19% cotton / 2% antistatic fibre, 220 g/m². An inherently flame retardant pique fabric providing protection against flame and heat while maintaining the comfort expected from a polo shirt.
Recycled fibres: Cantex Pique contains 19% recycled cotton. This means that 50% of the total cotton content in the fabric comes from recycled cotton.
PFAS-free: The fabric used in the shirt is PFAS-free. The product also carries an OEKO-TEX certification.
LOI: Cantex Pique achieves an LOI of 26.1%. This parameter describes the limiting oxygen index of the material and its behaviour in contact with flame.
Permanent flame retardant protection: The flame retardant properties of the fabric are inherent, meaning they are an integral characteristic of the fibres used. The protection against flame is therefore part of the material itself rather than being dependent solely on a surface finish.
TRANEMO SKINSAFE: Model 594589 is part of the TRANEMO SKINSAFE system, a multi-layer solution developed to provide protection against flame, heat and injuries caused by electric arc. The shirt can be used as part of a properly selected protective clothing system.
Applications: TRANEMO 594589 is designed for electricians, electrical technicians, energy workers, maintenance personnel, service technicians, technical workers and other professionals working in environments where a combination of flame retardant protection, electric arc protection and antistatic properties is required. The long-sleeve polo design also makes the model suitable where a more versatile and comfortable protective garment is preferred.
Certification: The product is CE marked in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 concerning personal protective equipment. It meets the requirements of EN ISO 11612 A1+A2 B1 C1 F1, EN 61482-2 APC 1 and EN 1149-5. The fabric has also been tested according to EN 61482-1-2:2014, EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019 and EN 1149-3.
