APPLICATION
BPS-B is designed to fill the space between insulators, making it difficult for birds to perch on structural elements of MV line poles, cross-bars in a triangular arrangement. The uninsulated wires on these structures are routed above the pole head, which means that birds landing on them can come into direct contact with the live wires and the grounded metal support structures at the same time. The BPS-B protects birds from lethal shock while preventing power grid failures.
MOUNTING
Assemble the BPS-B as follows:
- place the BPS-B in the gripper mounted on the telescopic pole,
- elevate BPS-B to line construction,
- pre-seat the BPS-B on the pole structure (cross member),
- tighten the clamp until a torque of 10 Nm is reached, which is confirmed by the characteristic click of the torque socket,
- unscrew the clamp from the BPS-B clamp.
