Insulating stick extension with head cover, 510 mm

APPLICATION

The element is designed to extend an insulating manipulative or telescopic stick. The extension with a sleeve is particularly used when the head of the manipulative or telescopic stick is made of conductive material. This allows for the safe use of the element mounted on the extension, such as a camera, during inspections of energized equipment in electrical substations with alternating current up to 36 kV or direct current up to 54 kV. Both the extension and the attached elements (camera, flashlight, etc.) do not degrade the mechanical or electrical properties of the stick.

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE

The extension stick  should be properly stored to minimize the risk of damage due to storage or transportation. The extension should be stored separately from other equipment to avoid mechanical damage. The extension should be protected from excessive heat and sun light. The extension should be cleaned after each use. Use a dry cloth to clean the surface of the extension. It is recommended to wipe the extension’s surface after drying with silicone tissue (supplied with the set). If heavily soiled, use ASOREL for cleaning. After drying, it is recommended to wipe the extension elements with a special cloth soaked in a silicone preparation intended for the regeneration of insulating components of live working equipment.
